Brittany earned her bachelor's degree in Accounting from Missouri State University in 2013. She began her career at Wilfred E Bucher, CPA in Sikeston, Missouri where she made partner in 2016. In 2018, in addition to her role as partner, Brittany became President of Sikeston Public Schools Credit Union. In 2019, she left public accounting to become Controller at Republic Services in Dexter, Missouri. In 2022, Brittany began her own public accounting practice, Brittany Fitzgerald, CPA.

Brittany enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys. They keep her busy and coaching with soccer, baseball, football, and basketball, as well as taekwondo. Brittany also attends First Baptist Church in Charleston, Missouri where she serves as Treasurer and enjoys learning more about the Word of God with friends. When she isn't serving in some capacity, Brittany enjoys camping, hiking, and swimming with friends and family.
